The 50

f/1.7 1/80

this is shot with Minolta 50mm f/1.7, one of the toys from my girlfriend. The bright aperture of f/1.7 really impress me, i feel the speed in low lit indoor shot. the field of view is tight on a APS-C crop sensor but it's still useful for single person portrait.

Bokeh is smooth and I like the colour very much. It's sharpness is better than kitlens and the resolution should be better than kitlens too. however, i have to becareful with the aperture and the distance to my subject because depth of view will be too shallow and too much area is out of focus.

f/2.5 1/30

some tests on different aperture size. in f/2.5 i can see the jagged aperture hole. i will like it more if the jagged edge is sharp enough.

f/3.2 1/15

the out of focus candle light become round again with aperture size of f/3.2. excuse me of the tilted photo, mata senget.

f/5.6 1/8

at f/5.6 it renders its bokeh well too. have a look at the lens! taken with another new toy. *hint hint*
